Spotify's 'Time to Play Fair' campaign was created to advocate for fair competition in the digital music streaming industry. The campaign needed to communicate complex issues around market competition, app store policies, and consumer choice in an accessible and engaging way. Through a combination of character animation, interactive timelines, and compelling storytelling, we transformed technical policy arguments into a visually captivating experience that resonated with both consumers and industry stakeholders.
I was tasked with developing the animation style, character design, and interactive timeline elements for the Time to Play Fair campaign website. The challenge was to create a visual language that would simplify complex policy issues while maintaining Spotify's brand identity and creating an emotional connection with viewers. The animations needed to be lightweight for web performance while still delivering a premium feel that matched Spotify's reputation for quality design.
